Malawian human rights activist Billy Abner Mayaya, has called on Malawians to claim back this nation from what he described as thieves.
Writing on his facebook profile post he said “ Let us claim back our nation from high profile thieves” meaning the current politicians who have made a corruption tag in each and every sector of Malawi government. Reacting to the his post, Malawians have vowed to stand and defend the with blood and no fear.
This comes in few hours just when media sources published the latest article of another corruption scandal worth close to billion kwacha at Nation Aids Commission which US demands refund.
Few days ago another mob stoned one of suspected minister in cashgate scandal Dr George Chaponda in Mulanje when he visited to launch a water project event at Likhubula. Currently the government has failed to pay it’s civil servants on time due to economic crisis due to massive looting of taxi-payers money by DPP officials after sworn into power in 2014.
Mayaya is particularly noted for his role as the Chairperson of the National Right to Food Network, a loose coalition of about 25 Non-Governmental Organisation (NGOs) working in the area of Civil and Political Rights.
